Public- and Criminal-Records Data
ISO offers electronic access to a wide range of public-records data to help locate claimants, witnesses, and other parties and to investigate suspicious individuals — and possible fraud.
Information includes names, addresses, telephone numbers, employers, tax liens, and other data needed to enhance investigations.
Police reports
ISO offers electronic access to an array of police reports — such as police accident reports, fire reports, and incident reports — and related information. You can order reports from tens of thousands of agencies across the United States with complete national coverage. Accessing police reports and related information makes investigations more efficient — saving time and money.
Criminal-records data
ISO offers instantaneous access to a broad range of criminal records and related information — more than 285 million federal, state, and county criminal and civil records — the most comprehensive offering of its kind.
Motor vehicle reports
For most states and the District of Columbia, ISO offers motor vehicle reports (MVRs) — instant access to information on an individual’s driving history. Reports include information on driver’s license, driving history, driving restrictions, and state-specific rules and regulations.
Art Loss Register (ALR)
To help recover lost or stolen property of high value, ISO has formed a strategic relationship with the Art Loss Register (ALR) special-purpose database. The ALR can be of great assistance to federal, state, and local agencies in their investigative and fraud-fighting activities.
Owners of stolen art, antiques, and collectibles can dramatically improve the chances of recovering those items by reporting thefts to the Art Loss Register. The ALR has a database of more than 120,000 stolen objects, and each year ALR specialists use that database to conduct 300,000 searches. ALR services have helped recover more than $100 million worth of stolen property.
National Equipment RegisterSM (NER®)
The National Equipment RegisterSM (NER®) database helps federal, state, and local agencies in their investigative and fraud-fighting activities. Every year, owners of heavy-construction and agricultural equipment suffer an estimated $1 billion in losses from theft. The NER database of lost and stolen equipment also offers a variety of information and services to help recover stolen equipment, such as online and telephone searches of the databases for law enforcement, visible marking of NER-registered equipment, and national training programs for law enforcement officers and investigators.
Marine Index Bureau (MIB)
Ships, docks, and oil rigs are dangerous places. With machinery, cargo, and hazards of nature, the maritime and energy industries will always be subject to accidents. And because of the transient nature of the work, it’s hard to collect solid information about those accidents. The industry continues to suffer from fraudulent or otherwise questionable personal injury claims.
For nearly 70 years, the Marine Index Bureau (MIB) database has been the first line of defense against fraud in maritime injury claims. The MIB database is the most complete source of information on personal injury claims by maritime employees and third parties in the U.S. marine industry.
OFAC Compliance Service
ISO’s OFAC Compliance Service checks against the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) watch list of potential terrorists and drug traffickers.
