ISO provides up-to-date information on community efforts to lower the risk of losses from fire and natural hazards. Our ISO Mitigation Online website contains a wealth of data for fire and building-code officials and community leaders.

ISO maintains an aggressive Community Outreach Program to keep community fire-protection information current by encouraging ongoing dialogue with community fire and water authorities. Learn how this program identifies communities that have made changes that may affect their Public Protection Classification (PPC™) gradings.

ISO’s participation with various federal agencies has raised a common interest in water infrastructure. We are involved with the Homeland Infrastructure Foundation-Level Database (HIFLD) Working Group, sponsored by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense (OASD-HD).
